Pilates for Golf Professionals

When legendary swing coach Butch Harmon says that Pilates improved his driving distance by 50 yards on the very first day, you know you’ve found a secret weapon. Golf and Pilates have gone hand in hand for more than a decade with a list of pros who use Pilates training that is worthy of any top PGA tournament. Names such as Tiger Woods, Mark O’Meara, Camilo Villegas, and Annika Sorenstam just for starters.

Modern Pilates owner Lisa Johnson has trained with two top Pilates instructors who have worked extensively with pro golfers, Sarah Christensen and Angela Sundberg. We offer the following packages:

  • Golf Assessment – in this 90-minute session, we will discover your strengths and weaknesses and give you a list of exercises to do at home to improve your golf game. We will also provide some quick and easy stretches to do on the course to keep you limber and swinging smoothly.

  • Golf Workshop – Modern Pilates will come to you, either on your home course or in a nearby park, to train groups of five or more people. We’ll cover assessments and exercises that will improve everyone’s game, with the average golfer increasing their drives by 50 yards the next time they tee up!
  • Private Golf Instruction – work with us privately to dramatically improve your golf game over a period of a few weeks or a few months. During golf season, Modern Pilates can keep you injury free and focused on your best rounds ever.
